Need Ideas For Creative Marketing Video Production in Miami? Try a YouTube Podcast

November 3, 2019 By John Craven

Deciding the correct creative marketing video production in Miami for your content and your audience can be a tedious task. But for our newest project, the Rogue Leadership YouTube channel, this makes the youtube podcast the perfect solution.

Paul Rosenberg hosts Rogue Leadership. He is a consultant for fortune 500 companies, an author of Rogue Leadership (read the reviews on Amazon), and speaker on leadership.

Creative Video Production Services | The YouTube Podcast

Paul is expanding his reach by creating a YouTube channel and podcast. His podcast, called Innovators and Influencers, has a line-up of some great interviewees from leaders in mental health, the environment, entrepreneurship, including the winner of Survivor Season 3.

Why a YouTube Podcast?

Podcast listeners are loyal, affluent, and educated. According to Podcast Insights, 27% of the US podcast listeners have a 4-year degree. Which makes the podcast portion of Rogue Leadership, Innovators and Influencers, perfect for this situation.

It is a growing field because the audience is there. According to Infinite Dial 19, 22% of the US has listened to a podcast in the last week. That is 62 million people!

By adding video to your podcast, you instantly expand the reach of your audience by providing more platforms to post it to.

I personally listen to a wide array of podcasts from politics, to stories, to marketing who have unique insights. I specifically subscribed to a YouTube Premium account to be able to listen to and watch podcasts. YouTube Premium has an additional benefit of putting your phone on sleep but still play the audio called Background Play.

Creating a YouTube Podcast

Using your phone’s audio recorder/camera and a $20 mic, you can easily create a podcast too.  The most important equipment is a mic of any sort because the clearer the audio the more likely people will listen. If you want to go a step further, a professional video podcast is a great option to give your viewers the best visual experience and reach to more platforms.

We were able to easily setup and create a professional look by incorporating a professional video camera with an HDMI, rode boom mic for clear sound, the black magic intensity shuttle, Zoom software, and a light that we bounced of the wall for a soft look.

Creative Video Production Services | Paul interviewing

Zoom.us is a great piece of software because you have the ability to interview people remotely, use a HDMI camera of your choice, record the conversation, and it is FREE! Wow!

Additionally I use Quicktime to record my screen of the interviewee. When I record on Zoom, it has this feature that automatically edits the video between Paul and the interviewee. I like to have the option to cut between the 2 people.

After we finished recording, we back up all of the footage using a raid hard drive and dropbox.  Then we edit it together using Premiere Pro, and add some branding graphics to create a professional look.  This includes an intro and outro motion graphic (possibly with music), and a lower third.

It’s finished!

Now you can export the video (as well as audio only versions) and upload to a number of platforms.

As we start launching Paul’s Innovators and Influencers podcast, we will outline the steps that Paul takes to get it seen by people.

Behind The Scenes with a Miami Video Production Company

March 2, 2018 By John Craven

Being a Miami video production company, it is important for people to see our process.  Here are some behind the scenes pics from our most recent project with GetAbstract. We were tasked to create a series of six short videos to be advertised on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, etc. The goal of these videos is to show the ways different demographics can use the GetAbstract app.

To get to a completed video involves many steps and includes getting many people to align to achieve one goal. As a result, these projects would never be completed without the help of many wonderful people working behind the scenes, so here are some pictures from our 3-day shoot.

Day 1

First of all, there is no better place to start a shoot at a coffee shop. Our first location started at Lee & Marie’s Cakery in South Pointe Dr. In this scene, actor Chad Nifoussi plays a small business owner of a surf shop.

Then we headed next door to F1RST Surf Supply Co.

Actor Chad Nifoussi discusses different surf board options with Actress Nicoletta Hanssen, playing a surf shop customer.

Next door to the surf shop isone of the most beautiful beaches in South Florida South Pointe Beach. The crew Art Director/Wardrobe Stylist Kristina Kitchen, Makeup Artist Jan Tinkley, and Camera Assistant Richard Lopez look on.

Day 2

For day 2, we headed up to Aventura. Actor Jeff Joslin played the the day-in-the-life of a corporate executive.

Day 3

Finally, for day 3, we were back down in Miami to work with actress Chelsea Rose Amoroso. She played a day-in-the-life of a college student.

Chelsea is a really good athlete and it shows in the picture of her running next to me as I rollerblade with my camera rigged on a Movi motorized gimbal.

We wrapped our final location at the MetroRail station at University of Miami.

VoyageMIA Interview About Video Production in Miami FL

February 20, 2018 By John Craven

I have been in Video production in Miami, FL for over 15 years. It is easy to forget how difficult situations have made me a stronger person in business. Until VoyageMIA contacted me about Visual Popcorn, then I had a chance to dive into some of my past projects.

Rollerblading with Movi Rig | Video Production in Miami FL

VoyageMIA is a magazine that focuses on Miami and Miami Beach business culture…

…From business, organizations, meet-ups, and events, VoyageMIA magazine is about the city’s entrepreneurs. Recently I was contacted by them to talk about how I got started in video production and what it is like to be in video production in Miami, FL. Here is a snippet from the article:

What were some of the struggles along the way?

Being in the creative business I’ve always encountered failures. My biggest “failure” was making a feature film in my early 20’s. I spent years writing, producing, and editing this film. There were also a few other people that put their heart and 110% of their effort into making this film too.

“When everyone is aligned on the same goal, to create a great final film, I am ecstatic and inspired…. A small team of mine coveedr an event while I was in Colombia with family. Usually, I am on the shoot, but this time I wasn’t. We had multiple pre-production meetings with my crew, so we were all aligned on the look we needed to achieve. The crew ended up getting fantastic content and the final film ended up winning an award for my client!”
