The Role Strategic Video Content Played in Scaling Trust
Over a 5-year-partnership, this is how Chirag Shah Coaching & Visual Popcorn used strategic video content to support its growth from a small coaching business into a national brand serving more than 1,000 Compass agents across 38 states.
Rapid Growth
In May 2021, Chirag Shah Coaching hosted a seminar in Miami with approximately 20 attendees. Over the next several years, the business grew into one of Compass’s leading coaching organizations, hosting sold-out events, serving more than 1,000 coaching participants across 38 states, and building a growing library of educational content that supported every stage of the business.
Chirag’s expertise, coaching ability, relationships and commitment to helping agents build better businesses were the driving force behind the company’s growth.
The Role Video Played
Instead of spending the first sales call establishing credibility and explaining who you are, strategic video allows prospects to arrive already understanding your expertise, your philosophy and the value you provide. That trust has already begun to develop before the conversation starts, allowing sales conversations to focus less on proving credibility and more on solving the prospect’s problem.
- Strategic Brand Thinking — building a foundation that communicates your message, establishes trust and gives every future piece of content a consistent direction.
- Content Strategy — creating different types of videos that each support a specific stage of the customer journey while maximizing every production day.
- Time Savings & Quality — developing a deep understanding of the business so content stays consistent, approvals become faster and every new project builds on the last instead of starting from scratch.
While every business is different, I’ve seen strategic video content can dramatically shorten the sales cycle for clients because prospects feel like they already know the company before the first meeting.
Strategic Brand Thinking
Build the Foundation Before You Build the Content
— Chirag
“The film helped people understand what was in my heart before I ever spoke.”
It starts with one video...
When we first worked with Chirag Shah Coaching, we documented a three-day seminar in Miami. The production was packed with coaching sessions, one-on-one conversations, course recordings and countless unscripted moments.
After editing the footage, something didn’t feel right…
The videos showed what Chirag did. But they didn’t answer the bigger question: Why should people care?
More importantly…Why should his audience care?
That’s when we decided to create a brand film.
Instead of focusing on one event, we stepped back and looked at Chirag’s entire journey. We combined our documentary interview with YouTube videos from nearly ten years earlier, footage from his early days as a real estate agent and his progression through Compass to show how his philosophy had developed over time.
The result wasn’t simply a story about Chirag. It was a story his audience could see themselves in.
His clients weren’t just looking for coaching.
They wanted to build stronger businesses, gain confidence, create more freedom, make better decisions and ultimately build a better life. The brand film showed that Chirag had walked a similar path himself. His philosophy wasn’t created for a marketing campaign—it was developed through years of experience, challenges and growth.
Once that foundation was established, every piece of content became stronger.
The brand film also became an important part of Chirag’s sales process.
Before seminars and presentations, it introduced new audiences to who he was before he ever stepped on stage. Instead of using valuable time establishing credibility, people arrived already understanding his philosophy and why it mattered.
content strategy
Great Content Starts Long Before You Press Record
Once the strategic foundation is established, the next step is building a content strategy.
For us, that strategy is built on three parts:
- Strategic Brand Thinking — understanding the audience, the business and the message every piece of content should reinforce.
Without a clear strategy, it’s difficult to know what content will actually move the business forward.
- Optimizing the Shoot Day — capturing the right content while staying flexible enough to uncover better opportunities as they happen.
Without an optimized production, opportunities are missed that can never be recreated.
- Building the Right Content Ecosystem — creating a variety of video assets that each support a different part of the business. instead of starting from scratch.
Without the right content ecosystem, even a great shoot has a limited lifespan.
Think beyond your next video.
Optimizing the Shoot Day
think beyond 1 video
When a shoot day is built on a clear strategy and optimized throughout the shoot, a single production day can produce dozens—or even hundreds—of assets that continue supporting your business long after filming ends.
Videographer as your audience
When a videographer recognizes when a conversation uncovers a better story, when an interview reveals a stronger message or when someone says something that perfectly captures what the audience needs to hear.
That’s why strategic brand thinking doesn’t end after pre-production. It continues throughout the entire shoot and into post-production. Just as importantly, the videographer shouldn’t be a passive observer. They should be an active creative partner.
Throughout the day, they should constantly think like the audience.
When they understand the business, the audience and the overall strategy, they know when to ask one more question, dig deeper into an idea or change the direction of an interview because they recognize that an important part of the story is still missing.
Our very first production with Chirag is a perfect example.
After two full days of filming coaching sessions, interviews and educational content, followed by another day of recording dozens of course videos, Chirag was exhausted and ready to call it a day.
I asked for one more interview.
That interview wasn’t on the production schedule.
It happened because we recognized that although we had captured what Chirag did, we still hadn’t captured why his audience should care.
That conversation became the missing piece.
The goal isn’t to leave a production with more footage. The goal is to leave with the right footage—the footage that answers your audience’s questions, builds trust and strengthens every piece of content that follows.
Every Video Has a Different Job
Building a content ecosystem
Over five years, we didn’t simply create videos for Chirag Shah Coaching.
We built a content ecosystem where every asset served a specific purpose.
- Brand Film — Built trust and established the strategic foundation for the business.
- Event Films — Showed the experience, energy and transformation of attending live events.
- Mastermind Highlights — Captured relationships, conversations and breakthroughs, selling the outcome rather than just the curriculum.
- Advertisements & Trailers — Created awareness for events, courses and new programs.
- Testimonials — Allowed clients to tell the story of their own transformation.
- Educational Courses — Delivered value through programs like Perfect Pitch, End-to-End and Compass One.
- Social Media Content — Extended the life of every production by creating an ongoing library of educational and promotional content.
Every production was designed to create much more than a single deliverable.
time savings
Fewer Revisions.
Better Content.
One of the biggest hidden costs of creating video isn’t filming or editing. It’s revisions.
As we continued working with Chirag, we weren’t just learning his brand—we were learning his business. We understood his audience, the transformation they were looking for and the message that consistently resonated with them.
That strategic understanding meant we could make hundreds of creative decisions before the first draft was ever delivered.
Instead of explaining the business every time we started a new project, Chirag could focus on coaching, leading his team and growing the company while trusting that the content reflected the message he wanted to communicate.
“I’ve worked with dozens and dozens of video people… Most of them, it’s one and done. If you’re looking for somebody who truly cares about the message you’re trying to convey, and the unique way you’re trying to convey it, this man is the best in the world.”
Every unnecessary revision costs time.
When your creative partner understands your audience, your messaging and your business, the review process becomes dramatically more efficient. Instead of spending hours rewriting graphics, explaining your thought process or correcting the same issues project after project, you can focus on what you do best—running your business.
The result is better content, faster approvals and a creative process that becomes more valuable with every project.

Strategic Video Should Make Your Business Stronger
— Chirag
“I’ve worked with dozens and dozens of video people… Most of them it’s one and done…
If you’re looking for somebody who truly cares about the message you’re trying to convey, and the unique way you’re trying to convey it, this man is the best in the world.”
When people think about investing in video, they often think about a single deliverable.
A brand video.
A commercial.
A testimonial.
A social media post.
But after five years of working with Chirag Shah Coaching, I believe the real value of strategic video isn’t found in any one video.
It’s found in the ecosystem those videos create together.
Every potential client is at a different stage of their journey.
Some have never heard of your business.
Some are comparing you to your competitors.
Some are deciding whether they trust you enough to buy.
Others are already clients looking for reassurance that they made the right decision.
Each stage requires different content.
A brand film introduces your philosophy.
Educational content demonstrates your expertise.
Event films allow prospects to experience your business before they ever attend.
Testimonials provide proof through the voices of your clients.
Courses deliver value long after the sale has been made.
Together, those pieces create an ecosystem that builds trust over time instead of expecting one video to do everything.
Video didn’t build Chirag’s business.
His expertise, leadership, relationships and commitment to helping people did.
Our role was to create a strategic content ecosystem that supported every stage of his audience’s journey—from the moment someone first discovered his business to becoming a long-term member of his community.
When you step back, two of the biggest business benefits of strategic video become clear.
Building Trust
One of the biggest advantages of strategic video is that it starts building trust before your first conversation ever takes place.
Instead of spending weeks—or even months—introducing your business, explaining your philosophy and establishing credibility, your audience begins that process on their own. Brand films, educational videos, testimonials and event films help prospects understand who you are, what you believe and whether you’re the right fit before they ever schedule a meeting.
The result is a more informed prospect, a stronger foundation of trust and, in many cases, a shorter and more efficient sales process.
Make Content More Efficient
s your content library grows and your creative partner develops a strategic understanding of your business, every new project becomes easier to produce.
Revisions decrease.
Approvals happen faster.
Messaging stays consistent.
That’s the long-term value of a strategic creative partnership.
It’s not just producing better videos.
It’s producing better videos with less effort over time.
That’s the power of building a content ecosystem.
You’re not creating individual videos.
You’re creating a system that builds trust before the sale and saves time after it.
Ready to Build Your Content Ecosystem?
If you’re looking to create more than just another video, let’s talk.
Together, we’ll identify where your audience is in their journey, what they need to hear next and build a strategic content ecosystem that helps your business attract the right prospects, support your sales process and continue creating value for years to come.
